I’ve lived in Backwell for the past 12 years, having moved here from Nailsea, and I can happily say it’s a great place to be.![]()

I retired eight years ago and have thoroughly enjoyed this new chapter of life. Before retiring, I worked in education as a Deputy Head and Acting Head at a primary school in Portishead.![]()

These days I like to keep busy by serving as a School Governor at two schools, and I also spend plenty of time helping to look after two of my grandchildren — along with their much-loved dog.
