**Meet the Committee**Kristina Dryburgh - WI Hall Officer I joined the Backwell WI when it first resumed, in order to make new friends in the community and recommend it as a great way to meet new people and try new things.I live in Backwell with my husband and daughter (who has just started at Bristol University). We moved ‘out to the country’ from Bristol in 2009 in search of a more peaceful life, although things are always rather hectic! I enjoy waking up to views of green fields and enjoy a Sunday afternoon walk in the woods - unless it is raining, in which case a game of Cluedo is a favourite pastime.I work as a Pension Scheme Actuary in the field of defined benefit pensions, so advise Trustees how much money they need to put into their pension schemes (the answer is generally ‘lots’). I mainly work from home, but have recently started regular office visits to Bristol, not just to catch up with work colleagues, but also to sample the delicious eating places at St Nicolas’ market – Pieminster is my current favourite.I attend a range of exercise classes at David Lloyd (pilates, yoga etc) - but the main attraction is meeting friends for coffee afterwards. My latest hobby is the family round of ‘Connections’ or ‘Wordle’ each evening, although I love to spend time browsing travel brochures for inspiration for future holiday plans. Or if family games have been successfully accomplished and there are no travel plans on the horizon, then I’m very happy to just sit on my patio and watch the sun go down with a Gin & Tonic. ...
